Neil Young's replacement for this year's State Fayre festival has been revealed.
Renowned singer-songwriter Young announced earlier this week that he was cancelling all of his summer UK and European shows with his band The Chrome Hearts and now State Fayre organisers have confirmed Grammy-winning Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette will step in to top Saturday's bill.
Skunk Anansie, who will be touring with Morissette throughout the summer, have also been added to the main stage bill.
The first edition of the weekend camping festival will take place between June 26 and 28 at Hylands Park in Chelmsford, Essex, celebrating rock music, Americana, and barbecue. Kings Of Leon and The Lumineers were previously announced as Friday and Sunday headliners, respectively.
Drawing inspiration from American state fairs, long summer nights and tailgate parties, and with a capacity of around 30,000, State Fayre will showcase rock, country, and folk music across three main stages, blending contemporary and classic sounds within an American theme.
The UK's premier BBQ festival, FUME, will also host The FUME Pit on site, showcasing award-winning pitmasters and vendors from across the UK and beyond.
