Hilary Duff has released another single from her new album.
After returning last November with Mature, Roommates arrives with a video directed by Matty Peacock, who has previously worked with Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande.
Co-written with her husband, Grammy-winning producer Matthew Koma, and Brian Phillips, whose previous credits include Alec Benjamin and Blink-182, the pop break-up track serves as the second preview of 'Luck... Or Something', her first album in over 10 years, which is due out on February 20. Duff said:
"Roommates is a song about when life is life-ing, babe. It's that ache for a wilder, freer time - before the days were swallowed by carpools, budget talks, grocery runs and letting old or new insecurities slip in. It’s the restless hum of wanting to find your way back - to your rhythm, to your person, to yourself."
It arrives ahead of Duff's Small Rooms, Big Nerves Tour, a run of intimate North American and UK live dates that includes a performance at London's O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire on January 19, her first UK show in over a decade.
She has also scheduled a mini-residency at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas around Valentine's Day weekend next month, with new dates added on May 22, 23 and 24. Tickets for the spring shows go on sale at 3pm local time today (January 16).
Duff's last studio album was 2015's 'Breathe In. Breathe Out'.
