Peter Frampton has announced his first album of all original material in 16 years.

'Carry The Light', which was co-written and co-produced with his son Julian Frampton, is set for release on May 15 via UMe. It features 10 tracks, including guest appearances from Graham Nash, Sheryl Crow, Tom Morello, Benmont Tench, Bill Evans and H.E.R. Frampton said:

"The Carry the Light album is the first new music from me in 16 years. It was one of my most enjoyable projects ever. I got to work with my son Julian—writing and producing together. A first of many for us I’m sure."

As a preview, the Grammy-winning guitarist has shared the album's lead single, Buried Treasure, a laid-back guitar-driven tribute to Tom Petty featuring Heartbreakers co-founder Tench on keys.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee released his last studio album, 'Frampton Forgets The Words', back in 2021. It features instrumental covers of some of Frampton's favourite songs by other artists. His last album of all-original material was 2010's 'Thank You Mr. Churchill'.

1. Carry the Light
