Kodaline have announced their Farewell Tour.
They will headline London's Roundhouse, Glagsow's Barrowland Ballroom and Manchester's Albert Hall on December 12, 14 and 15, respectively, as part of the autumn European leg. They'll also take the tour to Asia in August and Australia in September.
The shows will follow the Dublin indie band's previously scheduled summer Irish dates at Virgin Media Park in Cork on June 19 and Dublin's Malahide Castle on June 20, with the band set to play a warm-up show at Belfast's Ulster Hall on June 17.
Tickets go on general sale on Friday (March 27), at 10am local time for their new UK and European dates and 11am local time for Australia. The Asian dates go on sale on April 2, except for the Manila stop which goes on sale on April 9. Tickets for their summer Irish dates are on sale now.
These shows follow the band's announcement last October that they will disband after more than a decade together. The four-piece — Steve Garrigan, Vincent May, Mark Prendergast and Jason Boland — released their debut album 'In a Perfect World' in 2013, with their morst recent LP, 'One Day At a Time', dropping in June 2020, followed by a deluxe edition a few months later.
When anouncing their split, the group also revealed that they plan to head back to the studio to record their fifth and final studio album. In a message to fans, they wrote:
"Hi Everyone,
"After over a decade together we’ve made the difficult decision to say goodbye to Kodaline. We know this might come as a surprise, and it’s definitely bittersweet for us too.
"What we’ve shared with you has changed our lives forever. From busking on the streets of Dublin to selling out shows and arenas across the world, it really has been the stuff that dreams are made of.
"We want to end on a high, so before we say goodbye, we’re heading into the studio one last time, to record our 5th, and final album, as Kodaline.
"We are, and always will be, forever grateful for your love and support. It’s been a journey that we will never forget and we hope the music stays with you long after we’re gone."
Since their latest album, Kodaline also released their first live album, 'Our Roots Run Deep', in 2022, recorded during their performance at Dublin's 3Olympia Theatre earlier that year.
