The electro-pop track marks the Los Angeles artist's first new release since her latest album, '. ' (PERIOD), which dropped last July, and arrives ahead of the spring leg of her Freedom Tour across North America with support from Chromeo. She said:
"ORIGAMI!” is a celebration of sex. Wherever and with whoever you choose to have it with! It’s about embracing freedom and self-love that we all deserve."
The Freedom Tour will take a break following her appearance at Bonnaroo Festival on June 14 for the singer to play a series of dates across Europe and the UK, including a show supporting Pitbull at London's BST Hyde Park, with the second North American leg scheduled for later in the summer.
