Amy Shark Teases Fourth Album 'Soft Pop' With New Single Child of Divorce

Wednesday, 27 May 2026 Written by Jon Stickler

Amy Shark has returned with a new single called Child of Divorce.

Pairing a soft, strummed melody with emotive vocals, the acoustic guitar-driven track serves as one of the Australian indie-pop artist's most vulnerable songs to date, telling a personal story about growing up between two homes. She explained:

"Child of Divorce is about the quiet panic that comes with being loved properly for the first time when your idea of love was shaped by chaos."

Following her earlier singles Our Last Flight and The Biggest Dick, the song marks the latest preview of the singer-songwriter's fourth studio album, 'Soft Pop', due out on July 24. For the first time in her career, Shark wrote all 11 songs on the record herself. Her last album was 2024's 'Sunday Sadness'.

'Soft Pop' tracklist:

1. The Biggest Dick
2. It’s Kinda Hot
3. Child of Divorce
4. Our Last Fight
5. Movies
6. Like a Doll
7. Ruins
8. Hotel Towels
9. I Know a Place Just Up the Street
10. Not Old Enough to Drive
11. Singapore Noodles
