Sŵn Festival has unveiled the first names for its 2026 line-up.
Returning for its 19th edition, the festival will take take place across multiple venues in Cardiff's city centre this October, including Tramshed, Clwb Ifor Bach, St. John’s Church, Jacobs Basement, Fuel, The Canopi, Tiny Rebel, Little O’Neill’s and Porter’s, celebrating new music, emerging artists and homegrown acts alongside industry panels and mentoring opportunities.
Running for three full days for the third year in a row, as with the 2025 edition, Sŵn will once again collaborate with Cardiff Music City Festival, a two-week celebration of gigs, immersive aspects, residencies, installations and pop-ups across the city, including Llais, Wales Millennium Centre's international arts festival, and the Welsh Music Prize, which celebrates the best music made in or by Wales.
Leading the first wave of artists confirmed for the line-up are Irish modern folk act Dove Ellis, Cork quintet Cardinals, Porridge Radio's Dana Margolin, Yorkshire synth-pop-meets-post-punk band Working Men's Club, London's Bel Cobain, South London’s HMLTD, Scottish indie-pop band Lucia and the Best Boys, Manchester trio The Orielles, mainstay of the Brixton Windmill scene Little Grandad and more you can check out below. "Whilst we live in a world that surrounds us with negativity, it's been extremely uplifting to work on Sŵn’s 19th edition. 2026's lineup is filled with incredible new music. We have the pleasure of welcoming Dove Ellis to Cardiff for the first time who will be performing a special guest spot over at Tramshed. Other Cardiff first-timers come in the form of Cardinals, Lucia & the Best Boys, Theatre, Bathing Suits, 2charm, Lauren Auder, Shaking Hand plus dozens of others, as well as much anticipated returning artists including Working Mens Club, HMLTD and Porridge Radio's Dana Margolin who come loaded with new music.”
