Saxon have announced shows across the UK and Ireland for early next year.
The legendary British heavy metal stalwarts will take their Gods of Thunder World Tour to Wolverhampton, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield, Cardiff, Bristol, Southampton and London, where they'll perform at Hammersmith's Eventim Apollo, between February 13 and 27. Further international dates will be announced in the coming months.
The band are set to bring back their huge 30-foot mechanised Eagle lighting rig for all shows, except for Cardiff due to venue restrictions, as well as their classic Castles & Eagles stage set. Frontman Biff Byford said:
"We wanted to make the Gods of Thunder UK and Ireland tour extra special. And what better way than to fly our beloved Saxon Eagle again... Get ready for take-off!"
Tickets for all shows go on general sale at 9am next Friday (June 26).
This summer, Saxon will play several UK and European festivals, including a headline set at Maid Of Stone rock festival in Kent next month before topping the bill of the opening Thursday night at the 25th anniversary edition of Bloodstock Festival in Derbyshire in August.
They're currently working on their 25th studio album, which is expected to arrive in early 2027 via Silver Lining Music, following 2024's 'Hell, Fire and Damnation'. Last year, the band released the live record 'Eagles Over Hellfest'.
