LP Announces Eighth Album 'Room 12' With New Single Love Is All I Have

LP has announced their eighth studio album.
'Room 12' will arrive on September 2 and features the American singer-songwriter's spring single Shelly. To celebrate the news, LP has shared the soaring, emotional new track Love Is All I Have, which was written with Mike Del Rio and explores post-breakup feelings, such as heartbreak, freedom, regret and growth. LP explained:
"Love Is All I Have started with a ukulele and a melody. My longtime collaborator, Mike Del Rio, is always encouraging me to bring in songs like this when we're making a record because he loves the purity in them.
"I was drawn to the melody and the sense of longing in it, but for a long time there was something missing from the story.
"Sometimes you're only ready to tell a story when the time is right. This song felt like it had been hiding inside me for years, waiting to be written.
"It's really a composite of several different relationship endings. Having been on both sides, I felt I could capture both the inconsolable desperation of wanting someone to stay and the relief that can come with leaving—before the remorse sets in.
"Like many of my songs, this one has a character arc. I write about experiences that have hurt me deeply, then try to find my way through them to something hopeful. Ultimately, I'm always searching for the moment where I become the hero of my own story."
Last month, LP kicked off their All Is Not Lost Tour with a performance in Mexico City and recently embarked on a summer European leg of headline shows and festival dates. The North American run is set to take place between September and mid-October, followed by a second round of European dates, including UK shows at Manchester's O2 Apollo and London's O2 Academy Brixton on November 2 and 3, respectively.
The shows will see LP celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album 'Lost On You', performing the record in its entirety alongside material from the new album. Tickets are on sale now.
LP released their most recent album, 'Love Lines' and its deluxe edition, in 2023. Last year, they collaborated with DJ trio Cheat Codes to release the single Human and 220 KID on Get To Love You.
