Katy Perry has released a new single, Watch It Burn.
The cathartic pop-rock track explores taking back your life by ending a relationship and arrives with a Christian Breslauer-directed cinematic video that finds the pop superstar torching a city street and transforming into a scorpion-human hybrid.
Produced by Justin Tranter, Jason Gill, Eren Cannata and Daniel Crean, and co-written with Tranter, Cannata, Crean, Gill, Amanda "Kiddo" Ibanez and Skyler Stonestreet, it marks Perry's first new release since last November's Bandaids. Before that, she put out her latest album '143', and an expanded version called '1432', in 2024.
As part of a wider European tour, the singer is set to headline Cardiff Castle on Tuesday (June 30) for the TK Maxx Presents DEPOT Live series, followed by a headline set at the inaugural Blenheim Palace Festival on July 1. Tickets are on sale now.
