Teddy Swims Returns With New Single Break Up In Reverse

Teddy Swims has returned with a new single, Break Up in Reverse.
Released via Warner Records and described as his most vulnerable song yet, the soulful heartbreak track reunites the Grammy-nominated Atlanta artist with collaborators Julian Bunetta, John Ryan, Matt Zara, Mikky Ekko and Tommy King. Swims said:
"Break Up in Reverse really hits home for me right now and where I am in my life. Upon writing this song and my next album, I’ve been going through it with my relationship with my baby’s mother coming to an end. With Break Up in Reverse we were super inspired by an old Nas song called Rewind. We loved how the whole song takes place in reverse. So we thought, how beautiful would it be if we took the same idea but wrote it about my relationship, with the punchline being ‘say goodbye to me in the beginning and love me in the end.’ I hope you feel as moved as I do every time I hear and sing this song!"
The track follows Swims' April single Mr. Know It All and arrives amid his summer run of UK and European dates, which include two performances at Scarborough Open Air Theatre and a headlining set at Latitude Festival later this month. He'll then take THE UGLY TOUR across North America from September 22 to November 18. Tickets are on sale now.
Swims released 'I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Complete Edition)' in June 205, which brought together his first two albums, 2023's 'I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1)' and its follow-up, part two, which arrived in January 2025. He has also featured on several tracks by other artists since then.
