Jordan Rakei Announces New Album 'A Safe Place To Be Wild' And Biggest UK & European Tour To Date

Jordan Rakei has announced his seventh album.
The follow-up to 2024's 'The Loop', and its 2025 deluxe edition, is titled 'A Safe Place To Be Wild' and will arrive on October 30 via Fontana.
Alongside the announcement, the Grammy-nominated New Zealand-born, Australian-raised artist has shared the single Enemies, which blends '70s psych-soul with warm, laid-back grooves to create a hazy, summery feel. Rakei explained:
"Enemies has a playful, almost arrogant energy to it, not from bitterness, but from self-confidence. It's an ownership song about not taking any more crap, rising above past dynamics, and turning all of that into positive energy. It's dedicated to all the enemies of my past, haha."
Rakei has also scheduled his biggest headline tour yet, taking place across Europe and the UK in spring 2027. The trek will kick off with dates across the continent between March 27 and April 14, then heads to the UK for shows at Bristol's Beacon and Manchester's Albert Hall before his biggest performance to date at London's Alexandra Palace on April 24. Support will come from Olive Jones and tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on July 24.
Ahead of the new dates, Rakei will continue his run of summer shows supporting Teddy Swims with two performances at Scarborough Open Air Theatre next week, before supporting Loyle Carner at Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds on August 1.
Since his last album, Rakei also released the 'Live From The Royal Albert Hall' LP and accompanying concert film last year, recorded during his two sold-out nights at the iconic London venue in October 2024. He also released 'Between Us' in April, a five-track collaborative EP featuring Jalen Ngonda, Tom McFarland, Femi Koleoso of Ezra Collective, FKJ and Nubya Garcia.
