Michelle Branch has extended her Everywhere And Back Again Tour into next year.
Following the largely sold-out fall US leg, the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will hit the road again early next spring, kicking off the newly confirmed run of shows on February 25 in Charleston, South Carolina and wrapping things up on March 27 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She said:
"Announcing leg two of the Everywhere and Back Again tour has been the hardest secret to keep! I’m blown away by all the love for the tour and Game of Love. Can’t wait to see you all out on the road. This is just the beginning.”
Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on August 21. Branch has partnered with PLUS 1 so that $1 per ticket sold is donated to The ALS Association, helping their work to make ALS livable and curable. The Arizona-born artist added:
"I’ve chosen to support The ALS Association because I’ve watched my own father suffer and ultimately die from this horrible disease. This is the very least I can do to help hopefully find a cure.”
The tour will celebrate her 25-year career and new EP, 'Everywhere and Back Again', due out on November 6. The latter will feature reimagined recordings of some of Branch's most popular songs from the past 25 years by artists of different genres who grew up with her music.
She's already previewed the upcoming record with a reworking of The Game Of Love featuring New Radicals' Gregg Alexander, and has now confirmed that Maren Morris will also appear on the EP on track Goodbye To You. She recently made a surprise appearance at Morris' 10th anniversary show for her album ‘Hero’ at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville to perform the track. Branch commented:
"I’ve long admired Maren’s talent as a writer and performer. Having written this song in my teenage bedroom, it’s wild to hear it delivered from the perspective of a woman who really knows what these lyrics mean. It brings a whole new weight to it. And I’m so honored she invited me to sing it with her at the Ryman, she delivers such an emotional powerhouse vocal on this track, I can’t wait for it to be released.”
