Post Common Announce Self-Titled Debut EP With Lead Single Space/Time

Post Common have announced their debut EP.
The new Brighton band will release the self-titled four-track project on November 20 exclusively on vinyl through Dinked's Early Doors series, limited to 400 copies on 12" Ice Plume Blue vinyl, with a digital download available via Bandcamp. There are currently no plans for a streaming release.
The trio, comprising DIY stalwarts Stuart Hopkins (TRAAMS), John Newton (JOHN) and Ian Humes, have shared the EP's lead single, Space/Time, which blends electronic and heavier sounds with their post-hardcore roots. Newton explained:
"This was the first experiment of me writing lyrics and Stu mangling them in his own way. It’s a really good illustration of that exquisite corpse process. It feels like a natural opener to introduce the band and EP. A lot of drum pads and electronic stuff; a deliberate attempt to play around and challenge more traditional instrumentation."
Initially formed by Hopkins and Newton after the former moved back to Brighton, Post Common first developed their intense, physical sound in the practice room, with recent shows including The Great Escape and a support slot for Mclusky. The band then headed to The Bookhouse in South London with engineer Tom Hill to record the EP. The announcement also arrives alongside news that the band have signed to Brace Yourself Records.
Post Common will play shows in Bristol and London this month. Tickets are on sale.
