SAOSIN have released a new single called Just Be Honest.
Born from betrayal and a need for closure, Just Be Honest turns pain into strength through Cove Reber's powerful vocals over dark melodies, and arrives alongside a video directed by the band's bassist Chris Sorenson. Commenting on the track, guitarist Beau Burchell said:
"We knew there was something special about Just Be Honest from the moment of its inception. It had that rare feeling early on where you just know a song is going to matter on an album.
"Hearing Cove's vocals on it for the first time confirmed it, and then Phil [Sgrosso]'s leads gave it that extra push. The whole thing blossomed into something bigger than we imagined.
"This is really just the beginning of a much bigger body of work for us, a whole new era. We weren't planning to share anything this soon, but we got so excited about where the music was heading that we couldn't sit on it any longer."
The California band returned earlier this year with Starting Over Again, their first new music in over a decade. The song also marked their first release following their 2023 reunion with singer Reber, who initially joined SAOSIN in 2004 and sang on the band’s first two albums, 2006's self-titled LP and 2009's 'In Search Of Solid Ground', as well as their first release to feature Sgrosso, who started touring with the band in 2016 and more recently became a full-time member.
After recently touring New Zealand, Australia and Southeast Asia and playing the UK's Slam Dunk Festival, SAOSIN will perform at the Vans Warped Tour in Mexico City and Aftershock Festival in Sacramento before starting their US 20th Anniversary Tour next month and joining the Emo's Not Dead Cruise from Miami early next year.
