Robbie Williams has been revealed as the first headline act for next year's Formula One British Grand Prix Opening Concert.
The Grammy-nominated and multi-BRIT-winning superstar will take to the M&S Mainstage to open the four-day celebration at Northamptonshire's Silverstone circuit on July 1, where he'll perform a set of his greatest hits. He said:
"I've heard Silverstone gets loud... Thursday night on the Mainstage, let's kick off the British Grand Prix properly…."
The former Take That member is the latest artist to headline the British Grand Prix in recent years, following performances from Stormzy, David Guetta, RAYE, Calvin Harris, Becky Hill and Sam Fender. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on September 24.
Williams, who released his latest album 'BRITPOP' in January, will also headline Lancashire’s Lytham Festival on July 3, followed by two shows at Thomond Park Stadium in Limerick, Ireland, on July 6 and 7.
He'll kick off the South American leg of his BRITPOP World Tour this weekend with a performance in Bogota, Colombia on Sunday (September 20), ahead of shows across Australia and New Zealand in November. Tickets are on sale now.
More recently, he featured alongside Nicole Scherzinger and Laura Pausini on Desire, the first Official FIFA Anthem, released in July.
