Villanelle have released a new single, Some Chew Lip.
Building on the grunge-roots of their debut EP 'Measly Means', the fast, guitar-driven track finds the Gene Gallagher-led trio going full throttle, leaning into the garage-rock edge of their sound. Gallagher describes it as, "about someone who you love who is a very unique character who is acting up like an idiot."
The song is already a crowd favourite, having become a regular on the band's setlist during their extensive run of summer festival dates, which included appearances at Reading and Leeds and Outbreak London.
Next up, they'll play shows across the US, mixing dates supporting Billy Idol with headline shows and festival slots, followed by a handful of headline UK shows in November. Tickets are on sale now.
Gene isn't the only Gallagher booking up his diary. His dad Liam has just annnounced another massive Oasis reunion for next year, billed as the Live '27 Tour, which will see the Britpop icons play stadium shows across the UK, Ireland, Europe and North America in spring and summer.
