The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Psychedelic Furs will team up for a UK tour in 2027.
The two giants of the shoegaze and post-punk genres will head to eight venues across the UK early next year, kicking off on January 19 at the O2 Academy Leeds before stopping at Edinburgh's Usher Hall, the O2 Academy Glasgow, Manchester Academy, Bristol's Beacon, the O2 Academy Birmingham and Brighton Dome, and wrapping up at London's British Airways ARC on January 29.
The tour comes after the two bands shared a co-headline US run in 2024. Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday (September 25).
Formed by Scottish brothers Jim and William Reid in 1983, The Jesus and Mary Chain (pictured) released their eighth stuido album, the Top 10-charting 'Glasgow Eyes', in 2024. Ahead of the tour, they'll play shows in Austin, Texas, Germany for Rolling Stone Beach Festival and Indonesia in November.
The Psychedelic Furs put out their latest studio album, 'Made of Rain', in 2020, marking their first full-length release in 29 years. This autumn, they'll embark on a rescheduled US tour across the West Coast and Southwest after they were forced to cancel their spring and summer dates when bassist Tim Butler required emergency triple-bypass heart surgery.
