You Me At Six Confirm Second UK Tour Of 2010 & Tickets

You Me At Six have answered the public demand to see the band live and announced a second UK tour for 2010. This time around it will see the band visit bigger venues, including a gig at London’s Hammersmith HMV Apollo.

The Weybridge band will be playing to support the release of their January-released second album ‘Hold Me Down’ which spawned the emergence of the group’s first Top 5 hit, entering the charts as the second highest new entry of the week.

A fast rising emo quintet from Surrey who’s sound of catchy melodies, snappy lyrics and leg-shaking instrumentals has captured a now huge following. As a result, You Me At Six’s last tour, which rolled out in March, saw them play to an audience of over 25,000 people and ended with their first packed-out headline show at London’s Brixton Academy.

The annoucement of the band’s new tour has been made to satisfy the huge demand to see the group play live, now fans will be able to see YMAS on another tour later this year. Kicking off the shows at Edinburgh's Corn Exchange on December 5, the group will finish the six-date jaunt on December 16 with a gig at London's Hammersmith Apollo.

You Me At Six will play the following UK dates:

December 2010

5th Corn Exchange, Edinburgh
6th Civic Hall, Wolverhampton
9th BIC – Solent Hall, Bournemouth
10th Dome, Doncaster
12th Apollo, Manchester
16th HMV Hammersmith Apollo, London

Tickets are available from 9am on Friday 28th April, however visit Stereoboard.com this Wednesday for presales.

Photo: Shelly Mosman It’s not often that an album comes along and bowls you over into a state of sheer stupefaction. The Minnesota trio Low have always dabbled in minimalist experimentation, but their 12th full-length offering, ‘Double Negative’, cranks things up a notch. With Bon Iver producer B.J. Burton once again on hand, they manage to accomplish a giant leap forward without ever losing sight of who they are.
Paul Simon - In The Blue Light (Album Review)

While Paul Simon may not be as prolific as Bob Dylan (38 solo albums) or Van Morrison (39), he might beat both artists in terms of consistent quality. Records like ‘Rhythm of the Saints’, released in 1990, and 2016’ s ‘Surprise’ often matched the brilliance of his work with Art Garfunkel, but may have been overlooked due to ageism within pop music.
