Jane's Addiction and Gorgol Bordello To Support At Free Rage Gig

Rap-metal giants Rage Against The Machine have announced more details about their forthcoming massive free show in London this June.

Who can forget it, last year's titanic battle for Christmas Number One resulted in something beyond what any of us would ever dream of. A Christmas Number One from Rage Against The Machine.

The campaign set-up on social networking website Facebook propelled Rage’s rap-metal anthem ‘Killing In The Name’ to the Christmas top-spot, attracting so many followers that the band fought off competition from the mighty X-Factor.

Driven by the fans and beating the X Factor winner Joe McElderry to Number One, Rage Against The Machine donated all profits from their ‘Christmas record’ to charity and announced a special "victory" show in London to celebrate.

That special show is set to go ahead in Finsbury Park on Sunday June 6th and the show has already been billed to feature support from Gallows. It has now been revealed by the Daily Swarm that Rage Against The Machine, in addition to Gallows, will also be supported by sleaze-rockers Janes Addiction and gypsy-punk mentalists Gorgol Bordello.

The Facebook page that started everything off is still going strong, the number of fans following the page now stands at a massive 532,969 people. That is 28,000 more that the actual amount of singles sold to beat X Factor to the Number One spot.
