Damien Dempsey is an Irish folk singer-songwriter and musician from Dublin.
Starting his music career in 1997, he has released eight albums, including his debut album, ‘They Don't Teach This Shit in School’, and ‘Shots’, which was produced by Brian Eno, hit #1 in the Irish Chart and was nominated for the a Meteor Award. He released his latest album, ‘Soulsun’, in May 2017.
In 2018, Dempsey played the inaugural Damofleadh at the Roundhouse in London on St. Patrick's Day and Dublin's Iveagh Gardens in the summer.
