His values were shaped profoundly by events during the time he was in college and law school - from the Kent State shootings to the Watergate indictments and the resignation of Richard Nixon to avoid impeachment. David Rudolf founded the law firm Rudolf Widenhouse in 1982, and its mission remains the same decades later - committed to individuals in need of help against the power of the government.
Rudolf came to international attention in 2018 after Netflix released a documentary, The Staircase, directed by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade, about a specific trial Rudolf worked on.
Michael Iver Peterson, an American novelist was convicted of murdering his wife in 2003. A new trial beginning in May 2017 delivered new surprise twists. The jury ultimately convicts Peterson.
Now, David Rudolf is headed to the UK for a series of live conversations about the Staircase in October. Get tickets below through Stereoboard.
