Deathstars are a Swedish goth metal outfit hailing from Strömstad. Formed in 2000 and currently consisting of Whiplasher Bernadotte, Nightmare Industries, Skinny Disco, and Vice (unsurprisingly not their real names!), they're signed to the mighty Nuclear Blast label and are known for their gothic, make-up'd faces, and their horror-themed lyrics.

Manchester's Academy is a live music and entertainment complex based on Oxford Street. A brand name used for the three venues and club, which boast capacities of 2,600, 900 (Academy 2), 450 (Academy 3), and 550 (Club Academy), it is one of the city's premier locations to catch the best bands, singers, acts, artists and comedians. They're owned by the University of Manchester's Student's Union.
