Deerhunter are an American indie-rock outfit hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 2001, the band currently consists of frontman Bradford Cox, guitarists Frankie Broyles and Lockett Pundt, bassist Josh McKay and drummer Moses Archuleta.
Signed to 4AD, Deerhunter have released six feature length records packed full of their eclectic mix of shoegaze, garage rock, psychedelic, and noise-pop styles (a sound they’ve dubbed ‘ambient punk’!) over the years, finding fans across the world, particularly in the US and UK. They unfortunately had to cancel their 2013 UK tour due to family circumstances, but returned in style with their seventh LP, 'Fading Frontier', in October 2015, earning themselves a spot on many 'Best Album of 2015' lists. Deerhunter debuted some brand new material on tour in 2018 with their Double Dream of Spring shows in New York, Europe, and the UK in spring, material that would form part of a cassette-only record that was intended to fill the gap between then and what would be their next record. Eventually, Deerhunter released 'Why Hasn't Everything Already Disappeared?' in January 2019, supported by North American and European tours. Now in 2019, Deerhunter have announced an autumn UK tour that includes a stop at the Roundhouse with support from Cate Le Bon.
