Dog Fashion Disco are an American alternative metal band hailing from Rockville, Maryland. First formed in 1995 by founding members Todd Smith and John Ensminger on vocals and drums respectively, DFD also consists of guitarists Jasan Stepp, bassist Brian Wendy White, and keyboard-player Tim Swanson.
Boasting deals with Rotten and Spitfire amongst others, Dog Fashion Disco are known for their experimental take on metal - they infuse smart and satirical lyrics and elements of anything from jazz to psychedelic into their typically heavy music and create a sound mirrored by no other band around. Despite eventually splitting in 2007 following a run of six albums, the band have officially reunited again, and played three shows in London in September 2014.
