Emerson Snowe is the musical project of Jarrod Mahon.
A familiar figure in the indie scene as the bassist of The Creases, his new solo moniker takes a darker and more autobiographical direction for the singer, writer, artist, poet and multi-instrumentalist, which began when he stopped drinking alcohol for good, allowing him to focus on producing artistically and taking stock of his feelings of vulnerability. In 2016, Snowe released six EPs in six weeks through Bandcamp, challenging himself to write a track a day in 30 minutes. His latest single was July 2018's Sunlight. Emerson Snowe has performed with Courtney Barnett, The Antlers, Kirin J. Callinan, These New South Whales, The Temper Trap and more, but now is set to headline his own show at London's Sebright Arms in July.
