Fightback is the public facing fundraising arm of the UK registered charity Music Venue Trust. It was launched in 2016 with a 17 artist festival style event at London’s Roundhouse that featured Everything Everything, Public Service Broadcasting and Ed Harcourt. Fightback has been covered by BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Times, Financial Times, Guardian, Daily Mirror, Radio 1, BBC Radio 6, Heart, Virgin, Radio X, NME, Louder Than War, Drowned in Sound.
MVT fights to protect, secure and improve GMVs. MVT is the only organisation that places the future of grassroots music venues at the heart of everything it does. MVT campaigns successfully to keep venues open, improve their reputation, lower their costs and increase their income. To deliver this work, MVT is reliant upon public donations and financial support from partnerships. In October 2018, Fightback showcases Sisteray, Gaffa Tape Sandy, Strange Cages and Beach Riot at London's 100 Club in association with Vallance Records, an independent London-based record label launching the finest new artists.
