Foo Fighters are an American alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington, featuring frontman Dave Grohl, guitarists Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear, bassist Nate Mendel, keyboard player Rami Jaffee, and drummer Taylor Hawkins. They are best known for tracks like My Hero, Learn to Fly, Best of You, Everlong, All My Life, The Pretender, Monkey Wrench.
Formed in 1994, the band released their self-titled debut album in 1995, which was followed by ‘The Colour and the Shape’, in 1997 and ‘There Is Nothing Left to Lose’, in 1999.
Their fourth album, ‘One by One‘, released in 2002, saw them gain their debut #1 in the UK Albums Chart. It wasn’t until their seventh release, ‘Wasting Light’, which came out in 2011, that the band got their first US #1. 'Sonic Highways' came in 2014, and their latest album, ‘Concrete and Gold’, dropped in September 2017.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the globe, as well as having headlined the Invictus Games Closing Concert in London, Reading and Leeds Festival, Glastonbury, and even opened their own pop-up pub in London.
