Garth Brooks is an American country music artist hailing from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born in 1962, he’s gone on to become one of the genre’s most popular acts, and is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Born to fellow country star Colleen McElroy Carroll, it didn’t take long for Brooks to climb his way to the top of the ladder and his first, self-titled album hit #2 in the country charts, paving the way for countless singles, records, albums, and even awards.

One award he can boast is being ranked as the ARIA’s second-best selling solo albums artist - behind none other than Elvis Presley. Despite selling over 150million units worldwide however, it is on stage that he is perhaps regarded highest.

Incorporating rock and roll into his country style has meant that his live shows are packed with energy and power, something which fans have lapped up over his 30 years in the game. In 2014, he heads to Dublin’s Croke Park for three huge summer gigs - check below to find tickets!

dublin garth brooks on July 26 2014

Part of my bucket list, one I did not think which would be on my list.at the age of 51 think this would be the last time I would get to Dublin, as I could be in a wheelchair in around 5 years. Plus he is one of the best singers who's back - amen.
