Glenn Hughes is an English bass player and vocalist from Cannock, Staffordshire. Starting his music career in 1967, as a member of the bands Finders Keepers and Trapeze. In 1973 he joined Deep Purple, before starting a solo career in 1976 when the band disbanded.

Rock City is an independently-run live music venue and nightclub based on Talbot Street in Nottingham. Boasting a capacity of just under 2,500, it's seen the best in indie, alternative, rock, dance, and hip-hop taking to its stage over the years - performers include Public Enemy, RATM, AC/DC, and Nirvana. It also offers another room underneath - the Rock City Basement - which is another epic venue and oft-used for club nights.
