Gordon Lightfoot is a Canadian singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Orillia, Ontario. Born in 1938, he has been recognised as one of Canada's most respected artists since the 1960s.
First emerging as a coffee house performer around Toronto, where he would play and promote folk music, Lightfoot would put out his first single, (Remember Me) I'm the One, in 1962, earning him fame locally. It wasn't long before Lightfoot started putting out LPs, and, in 1974, he would reach #1 in both Canada and the US with 'Sundown', a now-platinum ranked album which featured his hit single of the same name. Today recognised as a folk rock icon and as one of Canada's best ever songwriters, Gordon Lightfoot continues to write, record, relase, and perform music to this day - catch him touring the UK for the first time in 30 years early in 2015! Nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Very emotional. Only knew "If you could read my mind" and "In the early morning rain". Our one and only CD is "The way I feel". Calm atmosphere, great backing, most enjoyable throughout. Highlight was the anticipation of seeing Gordon after listening to him for nearly 50 years!! His songs will always pass the test of time.
