Graham Coxon is an English alt-rock and indie-folk singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Spondon, Derby - though he was originally born in Rinteln, Germany. Best known as the lead guitarist of Blur, in which he occasionally provided lead vocals too, he’s also the owner of a successful solo career.
Still performing with Blur, despite a six-year absence following a dispute with other members, he’s now recognised as one of the UK’s favourite guitarists, and has put out a collection of eight solo albums since his first - ‘The Sky is Too High’ - in 1998. A true performer, he always puts on an epic live show when he hits the stage, and he returns to our ears with his only UK show of the year in Newcastle-Under-Lyme in September 2018.
