Grand Magus are a Swedish heavy metal band from Stockholm, consisting of frontman and guitarist Janne 'JB' Christoffersson, bassist Fox and drummer Ludwig 'Ludde' Witt.
Formed in 1996, the band signed to Rise Above Records, and released their debut self-titled album in 2001, followed by a further four more records, before signing to Roadrunner Records and releasing, ‘Hammer of the North’ in 2010. The band signed to Nuclear Blast in 2012 and released ‘The Hunt’. The band released their eighth album, ‘Sword Songs’, in May 2016 and 'Wolf God' in 2019. The band have headlined their own shows and tours across Europe, including a co-headline tour with Enslaved in 2015.
