He started his music career in 1996 as a member of The Recoys. Following the breakup of the band he joined The Walkmen in 2013. The band have released seven albums and are currently on hiatus. He released his debut solo album, ‘Black Hours’, in 2014 and teamed up with Rostam Batmanglij to form Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam, releasing the album, ‘I Had a Dream That You Were Mine’, in September 2016. Hamilton Leithauser has announced UK and Ireland shows in March 2017 supporting ‘I Had a Dream That You Were Mine’.
