Home Free are an American a cappella vocal group from Minnesota, consisting Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust and Adam Chance.
Taking their name from a boat owned by Atwood's grandfather, who helped support the group financially in the early years, they originally formed in 2000 as a hobby for the singers. The group competed in and won the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013, earning themselves $100,000 and a recording contract with Sony. They released their first album under a major label, 'Crazy Life', in February 2014, but prior to this they'd self-released five albums dating back to 2007. They've released nine more studio albums since 'Crazy Life', the latest being 2022's 'So Long Dixie'. Home Free will take their Road Sweet Road Tour across the UK and Europe in autumn 2023.
