Idlewild is a Scottish indie rock band from Edinburgh, consisting of frontman Roddy Woomble, alongside Rod Jones, Colin Newton, Andrew Mitchell and Luciano Rossi.
The band put out their debut album, ‘Hope Is Important’ in 1998, which was followed by ‘100 Broken Windows’, in 2000. It wasn’t until the release of ‘The Remote Part’, in 2002, that the band reached mainstream success, with the LP reaching #3 in the UK Albums Chart. They have since go on to further five studio albums, the latest being 2019's 'Interview Music'. Idlewild have rescheduled their 25th Anniversary tour of the UK and Ireland to November 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
