Stars Turn Out To Watch Alicia Keys And Lianne La Havas Perform For MTV Crashes Manchester

Last night, 14-time Grammy winning global superstar, Alicia Keys, supported by Mercury Prize nominee Lianne La Havas, brought the house down with a dazzling performance at Manchester Cathedral for MTV Crashes Manchester.

ImageManchester football stars, Robin Van Persie, Micah Richards, David Silva, Jaxi Garcia and Joe Hart mixed with the likes of Everything Everything, The Courteeners and Max George to watch the spectacular show at the iconic landmark, celebrating Manchesterís long musical heritage and contribution to UK youth culture.

Alicia Keys said: "It was great, I loved it. Iíve been feeling so interestingly different performing these songs. Today I felt so calm, and paced, and right in the zone with the crowd. I loved this show, and what a beautiful venue."

Lianne La Havas said: "The atmosphere was electric..and to share a stage with Alicia Keys...wow"

MTV Crashes Manchester was a free, ticketed live music event, created in collaboration with Manchester City Council and filmed for MTV World Stage Ė a global series that brings multi-genre talent with global relevance to audiences around the world through MTVís extensive global network.

From the EMAs in Edinburgh in 2003, to the Isle of MTV Malta Special, to Belfastís MTV Presents Titanic Sounds, MTV Crashes Manchester continued MTVís long history of partnering with local tourist boards to create iconic live music events specifically for local fans and international music lovers. Over the years the network has entertained hundreds of thousands of music fans and delivered some of the most memorable local live events of the last decade.
