James Taylor is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. Born in 1948, he’s now one of the world’s most famous rock musicians, boasting five Grammy award wins and a position in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Taylor is a rare, multi-talented individual who has the ability to combine words into poignant, awe-inspiring songs that touch souls across the globe. Starting his career in the mid-60s, his breakthrough came in 1970 with the song Fire and Rain.
Since then his music seems to mirror the lives of many and reflect his passion for music as well as being a huge influence of songwriters of all generations. So, as you can imagine, he’s an incredible live act and to truly experience him, you must catch him live on stage. He’s known for his lengthy tours, too, regularly embarking on ventures that span three to four years.
Without doubt one of the most celebrated and respected singer-songwriters in the world, Taylor returned to the UK for a series of shows in September and October 2014, where he previewed material from his latest and 17th album, 'Before This World'.
Out in June 2015, it was followed by a tour across the US, which kicked off in Allentown in July, and ran through til Boston in early August. He returned to the road in summer of 2016. 2017 saw him reaching Australia and New Zealand for some high profile concerts, and then in July and August, the US for shows alongside Bonnie Raitts
Following the success of his venture with Bonnie Raitts, Taylor has confirmed the two will head out together for a second time in 2018, with more US shows set for the summer and a cluster of arena shows in the UK in July! I think the concert is going to be a total sell out, James Taylor has been an icon for many years and I'm really looking forward to being able to actually go and see him. He has the voice of an angel, so smooth and every song he sings is sung with heart and an emotion that makes you feel like he is singing about you or something that you have gone through in your life. Can't wait to go see him.
