Jawbox are a post-hardcore band from Washington, D.C.
Their debut album 'Grippe' arrived in 1991 via Dischord, and was swiftly followed by 'Novelty' the year after and 'For Your Own Special Sweetheart' in 1994. Their final release came in the form of a self-titled LP in 1996, before the band initially split. They reformed briefly in 2007 to celebrate the reissue of 'For Your Own Special Sweetheart', but reunited properly in 2019.
