JD McPherson is an American singer-songwriter and musician hailing from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Born in 1977, he is known for his unique rockabilly style, blending elements of rhythm and blues and rock and roll together.
Inspired by everyone from Buddy Holly to Led Zeppelin, and Pixies to even the Wu-Tang Clan, he would eventually decide to pursue a serious career in music having left university, and soon released his album ‘Signs and Signifiers’, which was re-released via Rounder Records in 2012. McPherson would tour the UK and Europe in 2015 alongside his last record, 'Let the Good Times Roll', as well as playing Glastonbury Festival. Having released his latest and third album 'Undivided Heart & Soul' in October 2017, McPherson has announced details of UK shows next year.
