Jeff Dunham is an American ventriloquist and stand-up comedian from Dallas, Texas.
Starting his comedy career in 1983, supporting the likes of Bob Hope and George Burns, he joined the Broadway show ‘Sugar Babies’ in 1985, and honed his act in the clubs. He appeared on ‘Comedy Central Presents’ in 2003, followed by ‘Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself’ in 2006 and has since appeared in four more comedy specials. He is known for his characters such as Walter, Peanut, José Jalapeño on a Stick , Melvin the Superhero Guy and Achmed The Dead Terrorist.
His recent tours, Spark of Insanity, Identity Crisis, Controlled Chaos and Disorderly Conduct, have been marathon events, with shows across the US and into Canada and Europe. He brought his most recent tour to the UK for two dates in London and Birmingham in May 2018
