We saw Joanne in Phoenix Az. And were WOW-ED with her guitar and vocals!! I thought Stevie Ray Vaughn and/or Jimmy Hendrix were in the room!?! This girl wails and puts on a fantastic show!! Come back to the US, Joanne!!! If you have the opportunity get out and SEE this girl perform!!
As an old performer(drummer/vocalist for 9 years in the 60's) I more than appreciated the unique talent that is Joanne Shaw Taylor, as I am new to "discover" her, so it was all a pleasure to participate in. I also bought the WILD cd, which is terrific. I did notice the inclusion of backing singers gave the cd a more complete sound. Looking forward to her in 2018.

In 2021, Joanne Shaw Taylor dazzled and delighted with an album of life affirming blues covers, delivered in tandem with producers Joe Bonamassa and Josh Smith. Hope was kindled that this chemistry-rich trio might bring the exact same magic to her next batch of original material, which they have done in some style.

If you’ve been hesitant about approaching the covers record Joanne Shaw Taylor released earlier this year, leave any reservations behind a heavily bolted door and dive right in. Far from being one of those generic water treading exercises, ‘The Blues Album’ is a feast that swerves done-to-death workouts in favour of reinvigorating lesser known gems. Produced by a certain Joe Bonamassa, its gleeful, effervescent songs are sure to enthral UK audiences when she returns to the stage this month.
