Jon Boden is a traditional folk artist who stretches the limits of the genre.
He is best known for being the lead singer of multi-award winning, progressive folk eleven-piece Bellowhead, a 12-year project culminating in a quarter of a million album sales and worldwide sell-out shows including the London's own Royal Albert Hall. They played their final gig in May 2016, and now Jon Boden is back with new solo material. Boden has branched out before, however. In 2009 his debut solo album, 'Songs From The Floodplain' lead him to be named as Folk Singer Of The Year at the BBC Folk Awards. In 2017, he has released a string of singles - All The Stars Are Out Tonight, Moths In The Gaslight, and most recently, Bee Sting - ready for the release of his new album 'Afterglow', which was released on October 6 2017. After the success of his November 2017 shows, Jon Boden has announced a string of more headline dates in April and May 2018, both solo and with his band, The Remnant Kings.
