Josienne Clarke and Ben Walker are a traditional folk duo. Josienne was born in Sussex, and Ben in Evesham. It was after studying in London, and utterly by chance, that they met in July 2009.
Their debut album, 'The Seas Are Deep', came out in 2012, but it wasn't until their 2013 release 'Fire and Fortune' that the duo were confirmed in their place among the very best folk musicians of their generation and reached No. 1 on the UK Amazon folk chart. The albums that followed included 2014's 'Nothing Can Bring Back The Hour', and 2016's 'Overnight'. In October 2017, they released an EP, 'The Birds'. Throughout their career they've won countless awards: TheIsambard Folk Award in 2012, Fatea Female Vocalist of the Year in 2013, Spiral Earth Award for Best Duo, and Fatea Album of the Year in 2014, and in the same year they received two BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominations - Horizon (for best newcomer) and Best Duo.
