Kevin Bridges is a Scottish stand-up comedian and TV personality hailing from Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire. Born in 1986, Bridges would embark on a career in comedy before even reaching age 18, performing in local comedy clubs and later venues across the UK.
Inspired by Frank Skinner’s own autobiography, Bridges would go on to enter - and impress at Channel 5's So You Think You're Funny competition at the Edinburgh Fringe, reaching the final. Little did he know, he would later perform at 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and soon found himself on the receiving end of all sorts of offers, including an appearance on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.
Bridges quickly became a sought-after name, and rapidly built up his TV appearances, even eventually earning his own programme ‘Kevin Bridges: What's the Story?’. As well as his on-the-box shows, he would also become a hit at the box office, selling out countless shows including a 25-date run at Edinbrugh Festival that sold out in just hours.
Over the years, he has managaed to amass material for two live DVDs, and in 2015, he hit the road on yet another UK tour, which could even feature as part of a third. The new show, ‘A Whole Different Story’, kicked off London’s Eventim Apollo in June 2015 and ran through to til December. That tour broke box office records - winning awards from Ticketmaster and Ents24 for the Fastest
Selling Ticket of the year. The tour saw him sell over 500,000 tickets across 145 dates, including an incredible 16 nights at The Hydro in Glasgow. The Hydro was the perfect place for him to record his most recent DVD, which went onto sell over 300,000 copies; his biggest selling DVD.
Now Kevin Bridges embarks on his hotly anticipated biggest tour to date: The Brand New Tour in 2018, which will see the Scotsman run from August right the way through to December! But before that, he's lined up a handful of "work in progress" shows in May and June as a warm up! Catch him live by checking out the tour dates and concert ticket information below on Stereoboard.
Kevin Bridges has certainly went up a level on his 2015 tour. Intelligent insomuch as his knowledge of a wide range of varied topics and gifted as how he relayed his thoughts on these topics in an extremely humorous way. Kevin has never been funnier. If a couple of years "off" guarantees this level of performance then enjoy your next break son, you earned it!
