Kings of Convenience are an indie-folk band hailing from Bergen, Norway. Forming in 1999, Kings of Convenience consists of just Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe - but this doesn’t stop them from crafting some of the best indie, folk, and pop that Norway has to offer. Releasing their debut album ‘Quiet is the New Loud’ in 2001, they became an instant hit in their home country, and also hit #72 in the UK Albums chart, too.

Since then, they’ve released two more studio albums - 2004’s ‘Riot on an Empty Street’ and 2009’s ‘Declaration of Independence’ - which have remained in the Norwegian Top 10, and delved higher into the UK charts - even breaking into the Billboard 200 in the US.
