Kings of Leon is an American southern indie rock band from Nashville, consisting of brothers Caleb Followill, Nathan Followill and Jared Followill, and their cousin Matthew Followill.
Formed in 2000, the band released their debut album,‘Youth & Young Manhood’, in 2003, which hit #3 in the UK Albums Chart, as did their second album, ‘Aha Shake Heartbreak’, released in 2004.
They band gained their first #1 release with their third album, ‘Because of the Times’, which came out in 2007, and followed that success with ‘Only by the Night’, in 2008, ‘Come Around Sundown’ in 2010, and ‘Mechanical Bull’ in 2013. The band released their latest album, ‘WALLS’, in October 2016, which hit the top spot in the UK and USA.
The band have headlined their own shows and tours across the world, including the UK, and have played festivals such as Isle of Wight Festival.
Kings of Leon played a UK arena tour in February 2017 in support of ‘WALLS’, and also head to Europe for dates and an extended North American tour later in the year, as well as UK and Ireland summer shows including an appearance at British Summer Time in Hyde Park.
