Kriol Kings is a kizomba collective consisting of Nelson Freitas and Djodje. Kizomba is a genre of dance and music, originating in Angola in the mid-1980s.
Nelson Freitas is a Dutch musician, beginning his career in 1997 as part of the band Quatro+, who went on to release three albums. He has released six solo album since going solo in 2006, including his most recent, 2021's 'Dpos d’Quarentena'. Djodje is a Cape Verdean singer-songwriter, based in Portugal. He released his debut album 'Check-In' in 2010, followed by 'Feedback' in 2013 and, most recently, 'Newborn' in 2019.
