Kubix Festival is a rock and dance music festival based in Herrington Country Park, Sunderland.
Fed up of the near-bankruptcy that many people experience after a festival, a group of local promoters became determined to find a way to keep high-quality festivals affordable and accessible for all. Thus, in 2018, Kubix Festival was born. In the beginning, Kubix had hosted a split of two events, consisting of Rock Day—which previously played host to the likes of The Stranglers, The Levellers, Peter Hook & The Light, The Futureheads, Echo & The Bunnymen, Adam Ant, Happy Mondays and Embrace—and Dance Day, where punters have partied alongside Ronan Keating, Steps, Vengaboys, Peter Andre, Right Said Fred, S Club and Vengaboys. However, in 2024, the festival announced that Rock Day would be replaced with a brand new festival: Monument, while Kubix remains a purely pop and dance event. Kubix Festival will return in July 2024, with Busted, Sam Ryder, Vengaboys, Boyzlife and much more. Catch them live by checking dates and ticket information via Stereoboard.
