Lorde—real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor—is a singer-songwriter from Auckland, New Zealand. She is best known for tracks such as Royals and Green Light.

Starting her music career in 2009, she released her debut EP ‘The Love Club’ in 2013, which contained her debut single, Royals. The song was at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for nine weeks, and led her to win two Grammy Awards. Her debut album, 'Pure Heroine', followed later that year. She has since gone on to gain a huge fanbase across the world, putting out a further two records in the shape of 2017's ‘Melodrama’ and, most recently, 'Solar Power' in 2021. Her fourth album, 'Virgin', is due for release in June 2025.
